To grow their share, the company identified a clear opportunity: elevate the industrial design of their Flomate product to better reflect its technical strengths and commercial value.

Together with senior stakeholders, we defined a series of brand principles to guide the new design language and express a renewed sense of ambition. These principles were developed through a focused visual discovery phase, aligning form and function with long-term strategy.
To ensure the new direction would resonate, we engaged directly with key accounts and tradespeople. These conversations helped us uncover the features that influenced trade preference and identify how to accentuate the strengths already built into the product. Their insights directly shaped the creative process, grounding the work in real-world use and expectations.
The result was StormBoost, a refined evolution of the Flomate product.
A sweeping motif runs across the housing, creating strong visual momentum, while a subtle texture shift introduces contrast and tactility.
A refined brand mark, now engraved into the body, signals craft, quality and pride. Each feature was designed to spotlight the reliability, power and precision that have always defined the Flomate system.
Working in close partnership with Stuart Turner’s engineering team, we moved rapidly from concept to production-ready detail. Every element was developed to support manufacturing efficiency, maintain cost neutrality and integrate into existing production processes.
