With one in four of coffee drinkers now considering themselves ‘connoisseurs’ - Barista & Co knew they would build their product brand around ‘exploration and everyday enjoyment’ of coffee. Together we set-out to find a design solutions that would grow the classic, but stagnant, cafetière market.
The challenge, find a new product solution for the 80% of cafetière owners that failed to use their coffee pots on a daily basis. Our goal was to find design solutions that provided convenience and everyday enjoyment of both French Press and Filter Coffee to those coffee drinkers that wanted the flavour - but not the inconvenience.
The solution was the ‘Brew It Stick’. The one-cup infusion basket allows you to release the full flavour of your beans without the mess or waste of a cafetière. The simple form factor provided the poise of a true coffee product, whilst its simple design and construction meant that it offered the perfect cost solution for Barista and their customers. BrewStick has been in high demand since launch and provided a fast return on investment for Barista & Co. A converted Excellence in Housewares Award in 2018 and a number of high profile retail partners has helped cement the brand’s credentials.
