Crystal Spring had a successful natural deodorant range still generating single-use plastic waste.
We worked with their team to create a refillable rollerball system, scaling across high street retail and D2C. Our scope covered pack design, sustainable material selection, PCR optimisation and supply chain development.
The resulting product saves approximately 65% plastic per use. It also won Green Beauty awards, Kings Award for Export and led to a 137% up tick in sales proving that the most beautifully made things can also be the most responsible ones.
We partnered with them to reimagine the core of their offering: a refillable roll-on deodorant and companion refill bottle that could work both on high street shelves and via direct-to-consumer channels.
From first sketch to tooling, we led the design process with full control: concept development, sustainable materials sourcing, and supply-chain alignment. Crucially, we optimised the pack to reduce material shot-weight and maximise Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) content — ensuring every part of the system contributed to a lower carbon footprint.
The outcome — a deodorant system that marries personal care with planet care. Salt of the Earth has since been recognised in green-beauty awards and received strong acclaim from consumer publications.
