Given the impact that environment has on productivity, desktop displays should seamlessly integrate into the spaces where we work. Within the industry, we identified a gap for high-performance computer monitors that complement the interior design of their surroundings. We could see an opportunity to create an ultra widescreen 4k monitor design concept that would be the go-to choice for anyone looking specifically for prestigious professional interiors.

While size and resolution will inevitably influence buying decisions, these essential elements don’t have to come at the expense of beauty. With a professional audience in mind, we set out to explore how our design concept would not only provide best in class functionality, but bring beauty to its context. As a remedy to bulky models and bland black rectangles, we sought to design an ultra-slim monitor that would enhance working environments.

Our design concept was to minimise every element other than the screen. To this end, we reduced the architecture to a beautifully refined, poised structure that appears to balance impossibly above its mirrored base.

To add further elegance to this ultra-slim display, we created a geometric stand that could be effortlessly adjusted from conventional landscape to dramatic portrait, even allowing side-by-side sharing of screen presentations in tablet format.
